Sing: Kinetic Type
ABOUT
The song uses both female and male voices in a conflicting way, making possibilities in kinetic type very interesting. Through the usage of variation between size, shape, typeface and speeds of movement, each character is shown as they clash with each other through their dialogue. Images and colours were chosen to reference the time that the musical took place as well as the mood of the musical itself.
MY ROLE
I worked with animation, actionscript and illustrations to convey the emotions and characters of the song.
AFTERTHOUGHTS
Playing with different type faces and giving each individual characteristics allowed me to explore and play with typography.
